Jean was born in 1215, the son of Robert III de Dreux and Ǽnor de Saint-Valéry. The place is not known.
He died in 1249 in Nicosia, Republic of Cyprus/Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus .
His wife was Marie de Bourbon-Dampierre, who he married in APR 1240. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Robert IV (1241-1282), Yolande (c1243-<1313) and Jean (1245-?).
