Mathieu was born in MAR 1626 in Le Mesnil-Durand, Livarot, Lisieux, Calvados, Basse-Normandie, France , the son of Nicolas Hubou and Madeleine Moulin.
He died on 31 OCT 1678 in Lachenaie (Lachenaye, now in Terrebonne), Les Moulins, Lanaudière QC .
His wife was Suzanne Bedford, who he married on 28 SEP 1649 in Québec (ville) QC . Their four known children were Anne (1658-1728), Mathieu (1652-1723), Jean-Baptiste (1654-?) and Geneviève (1656-1702).
