Elie was born about 1624 in Saintes (Xaintes), Charente-Maritime, Poitou-Charentes, France , the son of unknown parents.
His wife was Suzanne Coignon, who he married on BEF 31 DEC 1655. The place has not been found. Their two known children were Marguerite (1663-1680) and Antoine (1668-1693).
