Madoc was born about 1300 in Coity, Glamorganshire, Cymru, the son of unknown parents.
He died about 1330 in Cardigan, Cymru.
His wife was Wenllian verch Gruffudd. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Gruffudd ap Madog (c1316-1358).
