Laodice was the daughter of unknown parents. The date and place of her birth have not been found.
Her husband was Antiochus of Orestis. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Seleucus I Nicator (c0358BC-0281BC).

It was pretended, in consequence of a dream which she had, that Apollo was the real father of her child.

No less than five cities were founded by Seleucus in different parts of his dominions, which bore in her honour the name of Laodicea.
